Can I change my vote? I voted for 60 games but now that I think about it that doesn't work well.
The league rule is that if they have less than 60 career games played when you pick them up then they're a rookie. That works well but when they play game #61 and they're on your roster, then what? We all agreed that they're still considered rookies for that season as long as they were "rookies" when you picked them up.
So, late in the season, when you look at someone's roster and they have no players below 60 games, you then have to look in the transaction table for the date that they picked them up, then you have to subtract the number of games they played since then to see if they were under 60 on the pick up date in order to verify that they are allowed to be in the rookie roster spot.
That's ridiculous. If we do it the Calder way, then there's no confusion at all.

60 games is the limit before the seasons starts. We handled it that way last season allready. So if you have a player like Hall or Seguin, he can take one of your 2 rookies spots for the entire season!
